It is possible to make a time lapse with your phone. Check out those sample time lapses from KakePipe.com guys. Shoot with Samsung Galaxy S2. It may looks like the objects are miniatures, but this is going to tilt shift after effect.
My next camera will definitely be a smartphone. It looks like that the smartphones gonna emerge the sub-DSLR camera market.
A week ago I did receive the birthday gift from my brother. Once again he made a wonderful surprise. He gifted me an wide angle camera which could be mounted almost everywhere- on the helmet, chest, car, windows, snowboard, wakeboard…it’s amazing !
The camera itself is amazing, it can shoot in 1080p@ 30fps, however you can downscale the size of it to 720p@60fps. That second mode allows you to make great slo-mo videos of any fast actions such as jumps. What is even better is that the camera lens cover 170º.
This morning I’ve waked a little bit earlier and decided to make a series of pictures on every 2 seconds. The idea was to mount the camera on my front car window in order to shoot the morning traffic in Sofia, Bulgaria during my trip to work. Which is quiet a lot, almost 30min.
It did take almost 750 pictures, then I’ve made a video which puts 24 pics per second, which turns out in 30sec movie.
Here is the final result:
Edit: Yesterday on the way back to home, I’ve made one more time lapse. So now you can see how it looks like during night lights at Sofia streets.
