Surfin’ Venice with SUP

Surfin SUP in Venice

While traveling around Europe, I did find that bike is the most convinient way to explore a city. It’s fast as public transport, you choose the route and you can stop whenever you like.

But what if you are headed to Venice, will a bike be so useful over there? I guess something like that inspired the guys from RRD ( Roberto Ricci Designs ) to make Surfin SUP competition in Venice. Wonderful idea. Plus the race was sponsored by Nissan and GoPro. Check it out:

Windless Fun at Salvo

The winter season is over and it’s time to head back to upcoming summer. At the time posting that I’m a little bit more souther and weather is summer here. The temperatures are around 67 degree F which should be around 20 Celsius, which is good enough for me to kiteboard or swin in the ocean/ water pool.

As the last two days are so windless, I mean really windless like 5 to 8 knots. It’s impossible to kite even with big kites like 14m sizes. We did spend our time at the ocean beach under the warm sun light thinking what we can do. Then we had back to the house where we decide to do some jump into the pool. It was our best chance for fun at such windless day.
Finally it became one small amazing day full of joy. Here is an shorty video from today

Small Europe

A month ago something enormously fast and unexpected happened to me.
Some of you probably don’t know what’s my regular job is. I’m working as a service technician in Siemens Enterprise Networks(SEN), supporting SEN call center application, called ProCenter or Contact Center. The thing is that we support the whole world except USA so from time to time someone from our team needs to go on customer site for troubleshooting /upgrading customers servers. Which in general is great, because you meеt different people from different country’s, don’t forget that you are on business trip so you don’t have time for sights at all.

Back to the beginning, what happened last week: I just came back to work on Monday from 3 day vacation(connected with my birthday) on very second day, colleague of mine called me in the office with private request to replace him on customer site, from the very next day. After short look in my calendar I’ve realized that I don’t have plans for upcoming days so I accept the offer.
On the next day I’ve took a plain to Berlin at 7:50 in the morning. Two and half hours later I was in Berlin. I’ve checked in my hotel and in an hour I was in the office in Berlin. After the change of timezone -1 hour back my watch was showing 10:30 which is the regular start of my late shift. I was on time for work, 2500km away from home .
This makes think about the size of Europe and how a man can Work far away from home with just two more hours spending to travel with a plane.

Greetings from Berlin!  I will upload some pics.
